Hear what Hydrix says about Heart Hackathon
“Hydrix is proud and honoured to be a founding sponsor of the Heart Hackathon, an international student-led design competition that aims to nurture and inspire the next generation of cardiovascular technology innovators. We believe this competition is crucial in addressing Cardiovascular Disease (CVD), the world’s leading cause of death.”
“This competition will provide students with a great wealth of knowledge, celebrate their innovative solutions and provide valuable networking opportunities. We are glad and honoured to be partners on this journey with the Heart Hackathon team along with other respected sponsors.”
What are the main differences you have found between working in research compared to industry?
“The main difference is that in research you get to play with lots of cutting-edge technologies and ideas which you hopefully want to see in the market. The other difference is timeline and budget - timeline in academia is generally not as rigid…from the industry’s perspective, most people want things done yesterday…in terms of budget (industry) is much more restrictive”
